Una chiave di lettura semplice ed essenziale come i blues dei primi del '900, dove Bessie Smith e Ma Rainey erano regine incontrastate. Roots, le radici della musica moderna. Il blues rurale dei campi di cotone del Mississippi, gli spiritual della speranza, il traditional jazz, il ragtime e lo swing... Il potente e profondo contralto di Gloria Turrini ci porterà attraverso le varie sfumature delle radici della black music, accompagnata dalle sapienti mani di Mecco Guidi al Piano.
Gloria Turrini and Mecco Guidi are now well-known and esteemed names among the professionals of the Italian music scene who, against all tendencies, starting from the roots of the Blues let contaminate their path with other sounds of black matrix between trad jazz, gospel, blues and funk of the 60s and 70s.
